Fuck yeah.

Well, that was a pleasant surprise. Or not a surprise at all, depending on where you stand. But, wow, what a Saturday night, yes? The Giants beat the Phillies in a 4-3 victory at the start of the National League Championship Series. Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum stole the show from Roy Halladay. Why? Because he is all kinds of rad with his "violent delivery." And Cody Ross? He belted two solo homeruns against Halladay. He deserves nothing less than your undying loyalty.

Oh! And, according to the Chronicle, Phillies fans found an obnoxious way to taunt Lincecum while he was on the mound. "As he batted in the fifth inning they whistled the way a man would whistle at a woman, at least in a 1940s Warner Brothers cartoon."

Lincecum responded via a "huge strikeout of [Ryan] Howard, who doubled his first time up." Cram that inside your broken bell, Philly.

The entire game, though, was built around a stellar team effort.

S.F takes on Philadelphia during Game 2 tomorrow at 5 p.m.
