Oakland police responded to a report of gunfire on the 1600 block of Seminary Avenue a little after 2 a.m. today. Upon arrival, they found a six-year-old child hit with stray gunfire. "The girl, identified as Leslie Ramirez, was sleeping in her home when one or more people opened fire," reports BCN (via CBS 5)/ "The girl was hit in her arm and the bullet ended up lodged in her chest, according to her older sister."
She is currently in stable condition.
Police suspect the the shooting was gang-related. No arrests have been made.
