Berkeley / Shooting: A 35-year-old man was shot and killed late Saturday night/early Sunday while walking home from a party with his fiancée. The couple was approached near Adeline and Emerson Streets by two men demanding money at around 3:45 a.m. The man was shot with a handgun and his fiancée was punched in the face. Pittsburg / Shooting: An argument outside a sports bar in Antioch turned deadly after last call Saturday night. 34-year-old Anwar Baker was shot and mortally wounded while driving his car westbound on Highway 4. A silver SUV pulled up alongside Baker's car and someone shot him, causing him to swerve off the road into a guardrail. Friends following in another vehicle took him to a hospital in Walnut Creek, where he was pronounced dead twenty minutes later. [Contra Costa Times]
