After Thursday's natural gas pipeline explosion, which displaced many San Bruno citizens, several residents will be allowed to return home at noon today.
"At a news briefing this morning, San Bruno City Manager Connie Jackson asked residents of evacuated areas to meet at noon in Lot M at Skyline College, where authorities plan to check identification before escorting people to their homes slowly and in stages," said the Chronicle. "Once in their homes, Jackson said, residents should throw all perishable food into dumpsters that will be placed in the streets."
As of Sunday morning, there are four confirmed deaths from the San Bruno fire. The official number of people missing now has risen to six, according to city spokesman Bill Chiang.
