S.F. Might Expand Plastic Bag Ban

After San Francisco banned plastic bags in supermarkets and retail chain stores, it now may "expand that ban to all retailers, including hardware stores, bookshops, clothing boutiques and department stores." Which is fine with us. Carrying around a square paper bag with twine handles is much fancier. [SFGate]
