On Sunday July 18, the fine folks at CaliberSF (co-founded by Photo du Jour regular Troy Holden) and a slew of photographers will gather at SOMArts Cultural Center and walk through the streets of SoMa "looking for interesting details and exploring the urban landscape." Photographers of all ages and skill levels are welcome -- we plan on using our dinky iPhone; however, savvier cameras are ideal -- so you have no excuse to kick start your burgeoning photography career.

Did we mention Frank Chu will be there? True.

Also, according to CaliberSF, there will be treats post-walk. "After the walk, we'll meet back at SOMArts for pizza, beer & soft drinks, and take a break to rest up and see what photos we’ve captured on our walk. $10 includes refreshments (cheap!) but if you are not planning to stay after the walk, please give what you can and come join us … no one will be turned away."

And what with all this SoMa love in the air, here are several shots of the city's South of Market neighborhood found in the SFist Flickr pool. Enjoy. And see you on Sunday!
