Did you know that Crocker Galleria, downtown's most shy and misunderstood shopping center, has a farmers' market? It's true. They do. Each Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the former home of Versace hosts approximately 20 certified growers and food producers.

What's more, this coming Thursday,Marcia Gagliardi of Tablehopper will be there signing copies of her 2010 release, The Tablehopper's Guide to Dining and Drinking in San Francisco: Find the Right Spot for Every Occasion, a guide without which we might have never discovered S&T Hong Kong Seafood, a shiny dim sum gem in the Outer Sunset (where we totally, absolutely, 100-percent did not order the delightful shark fin soup.)

Pick up a copy of Gagliardi's coveted SF restaurant guide while stocking up on seasonal greens from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. She'll be at The Green Zebra Environmental Action Center in Crocker Galleria, 50 Post Street (at New Montgomery). Also, Christina Beshar of Kika’s Treats will also be there selling chocolate covered caramelized cookies, tropical shortbreads and Brazilian honey cakes.
