Spotlighting rising chefs, pastry chefs, sommeliers and mixologists (see: bartenders), the roster at this year's StarChefs Rising Star Awards makes the $95 price tag well worth the tiny dent to your purse. See, on Wednesday, June 16, the winners of the 2010 San Francisco Bay Area Rising Star Awards will get you full/tipsy at Ghirardelli Square with stellar fare and spectacular drinks. Hosted by Gary Danko’s chef de cuisine and awesome name carrier, Martin Brock, this late spring tasting features bites from Maximilian DiMarea (Wood Tavern), Louis Maldonado (Aziza), Thomas McNaughton (Flour + Water), Scott Nishiyama (Chez TJ), Josh Thomsen (The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa), John Paul Carmona (Manresa) and our personal favorite, Matthew Accarrino (SPQR).

For those of you with relentless sweet teeth, pastry chefs Melissa Chou (Aziza) and Catherine Schimenti (Michael Mina) will provide the sweets. And, for those of you with thirsty livers, you can chug creative nectar care of Erick Castro (Rickhouse) and Brian MacGregor (Jardinière).

What's on the menu, you ask? You'll have to head over to GrubStreet to find out. (One hint: bone marrow sformatino! Second hint: apricot mousse!) Who will be there? Well, seeing as how Tablehopper featured it this week, everybody.
