Tree Comes Crashing Down at Fourth and Brannan

Happening just outside the Bank of America at 501 Brannan, the tree outside Fourth Street and Brannan came crashing down this afternoon in the SOMA district of San Francisco.

It looks like an SUV took quite a beating. No word yet on any injuries.

SFist talked to a Bank of America employee who explained, "The tree came crashing down sometime between 12:15 and 12:20 today."

Update 2:00: It looks like "the wind," said one tree removal worker, is to blame for the fall. Alas. Also, an ABC 7 news van was on the scene when we arrived.
