Yet another solid week of live music with local chillers Skeletal System at Hemlock Tuesday, the previously profiled Fuck Buttons at Great American Music Hall Wednesday and rising local post-punk trio Ranx/Xerox at Eagle Tavern Thursday.

Our featured act this week, however, is Portland's notoriously entertaining Starfucker. The solo project turned full-blown quartet make the most infectious form of electro-pop, complete with sing-along hooks, jingle-worthy melodies and beats you can't help but dance to. After a series of admittedly confusing name changes, the quartet is back in SF this week for a DJ set at the free epicsauce party at Milk Thursday and a live show with local dance favorites Butterfly Bones at Rickshaw stop Friday night -- we can't think of a better band to help start your weekend of Bay to Breakers debauchery.

Plenty of other show options this week including Los Angeles based indie-pop trio Happy Hollows at the Independent tonight, experimental electronic duo Eats Tapes at the Berkeley Art Museum Friday and the previously profiled Clipd Beaks at Hemlock Sunday.
