FASHION: Tonight's edition of Cultural Encounters: Friday Nights at the de Young will include a sneak preview of the upcoming 5th Annual Discarded to Divine event, which showcases this year's designers and their recycled-clothing couture, and a performance by high-energy, cross-pollinated gypsy band, Fishtank Ensemble.

ART: Tonight and tomorrow, ARC Gallery is hosting a Sneak Preview of next week's SOMA Spring Open Studios. Over sixty-five artists will be showcased and their work will be available for sale. (The gallery is waiving their commission, and 100% of the proceeds will go to the artist.)

THEATER: It's the second preview night of The Wind and Rain, based on the old Irish folk tale about sisters, love, jealousy, revenge and the consequence of change. The production is part of Exit Theatre's DIVAfest 2010.
