Protesting SF State University's plan to "charge 11 students $8,100 for damages incurred during a December occupation of the business school," SFSU students held a peaceful protest on Wednesday that go slightly out of hand. Looking to enter the school's Administration Building--where student have the right to be, legally--one officer took things a wee bit too far, throwing a student to the ground and wresting him outside of the building. It's pretty rough considering the protest was pretty mellow.
According to SFGate, "the students are attempting to deliver a letter to Assistant Dean of Students Will Flowers, who they say promised that the 11 students would only pay $50 each." What's more, as the Gate goes on to point out, this video "offers a glimpse at tactics used by some protesters, who try to be nonviolent but provocative." Not to mention tactics used by certain officers during nonviolent protests.
