The International Cannabis & Hemp Expo comes to the Cow Palace for the first time on April 17th and 18th, featuring a multitude of booths to educate you as to the wonders of marijuana and hemp products, as well as a performance by a band called LoveRat.
Though no pot will be sold at the expo (at least none that they're officially condoning), there will be a "safe space" for those properly credentialed marijuana-smoking patients to take a few tokes and chill. "It will be an area outside the building and only accessible to people who prove to have a valid prescription for medical-marijuana use," said Joseph Barkett, chief executive officer of the Cow Palace.
No word yet as to who among the supervisor and mayoral candidates may make an appearance to win over the pothead vote during this election year. [San Mateo County Times]
