St. Mary's hospital is breaking ground this week on a new cancer center which will, among other things, include new technology that allows chemotherapy to be targeted at specific organs, and a vascular suite that updates the hospital's radiology equipment. The center will bring oncologists, pathologists, and surgeons under one roof and thereby allow for a less confusing care experience for patients. The center will total 14,000 new square feet for the hospital, and is scheduled to open next April. [Examiner]
