A day after a cyclist was the victim of a hit-and-run by a 5-Fulton driver during his route, a 19-year-old female pedestrian was hit near the intersection of San Jose and Farallones Street by a M Ocean View Muni light rail.
The incident occurred at around 9:45 pm while the train was moving north towards San Jose/Geneva.
SF MTA spokesman Judson True told SFAppeal that the victim "was reportedly under the front left of the LRV after the accident but the wheels did not make contact with her." She was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
