Last night a dog was stolen from the San Francisco SPCA. Cassidy, a puppy infected with giardia (an intestinal infection that can spread to humans, notes ABC 7), was receiving critical medicine and treatment, and the good folks at the SF SPCA are "deeply concerned" about her health.

A statement from the SF SPCA says, "We will not press charges or ask questions; we simply want her returned. Cassidy is a three month old, unspayed lab mix and approximately seventeen pounds. She is brindle -- a blend of brown and black spots -- and white. While we don't have a photo of her specifically, we do have a photo of her sibling [pictured here]."

They are also offering a $500 reward for Cassidy's safe return.

Aanyone with information about Cassidy is asked to call the SFPD at 415- 553-1159 or SFSPCA at 415-522-3500 or 415 554-3029.
