Billed as a Day of Statewide Action for Public Education, public education students, workers and supporters from Pre-K through PhD are expected to protest the glaring lack of funding aimed at California public schools. Thursday's SF rally, to be held at the Civic Center, will boast "more than 30 speakers from schools and universities as well as musical, dance and spoken word performances." The goal of this, according to the California Faculty Association, "is to raise awareness about the crisis in public education and the need to fully fund our schools, colleges and universities."
