Faced with a $113 million cut in San Francisco Unified School District's budget over the next two years, which is greater than cuts experienced during the Great Depression, pissed-off parents have organized a town hall meeting tonight moderated by Michael Krasny, host of KQED Radio's Forum.

Creative funding solutions to pending budget cuts, smarter long-term budget reform, and local and state-wide parental advocacy efforts will be discussed.

Tonight's panelists include California State Senators Mark Leno and Leland Yee, California State Assembly Members Fiona Ma and Tom Ammiano, Mayor Gavin Newsom, and many more.

There has been a huge response to the event, and 1000 parents are expected to attend. Be sure to RSVP and show up early to get a seat.
