We were one of about three people snapping photos of this peachy electric vehicle with our phones today, which was spotted at Sutter and Leavenworth.

After doing a little research, we found out its an NmG (No More Gas) electric vehicle by Myers Motors and runs about $30k. Apparently it's classified as a motorcycle and is permitted on freeways at up to 75 mph while other electric vehicles are legally limited to speeds of 35mph or less. The NmG is also allowed in many carpool lanes, because it's fully occupied by the driver alone.

The Bay Area is now one vehicle closer to becoming the electric car capital of the world by 2012.
