This weekend is the official 75th anniversary celebration of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The party starts on Saturday at 11 a.m., kicking off a three-day weekend of free admission and special programs going from January 16 through 18.

The museum's exhibits will be open and there will be musical performances by Zoë Keating at 7:00 p.m., Loop!Station at 8:00 p.m., and Matmos at 9:30 p.m. San Francisco video artist Nate Boyce will provide live projections and a cash bar will add to the mood.

Sunday is also Free Family Day. Look for a poetry cafe, where you can write poems and read them along with the backing of a jazz band. Chair making starts at 11 a.m. and screenings of early cartoons will be at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
