Dewey Tucker -- a 24-year-old Vallejo bassist who performed with loopy songstress Lauryn Hill, Bobby Brown, Chico, the Coup and James DeBarge, just to name a few -- was found dead a little before 10 p.m. last night on westbound Highway 80, west of Cummings Skyway in Contra Costa County. It seems he was gunned down while driving. "A deputy with the coroner's office said investigators determined Tucker had suffered a gunshot wound to the head," says CBS 5/BCN.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. But police are looking for information on the suspects.
