Google has threatened to pull out of China after massive cyber attacks against itself and other foreign companies. If it doesn't walk away entirely, Google has said it will stop censoring its search results, as it is currently obliged to do under Chinese law.

Some of the more than 40 million users in China, worried their Google email accounts will be deleted, have sent flowers to the company, encouraging them to stay. Chinese officials have not yet responded to Google's statement. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, however, has.

"We look to the Chinese government for an explanation," Clinton said. "The ability to operate with confidence in cyberspace is critical in a modern society and economy."
