Slow News Day News: Russian Hill Truck SNAFU

Oh fun. Late this morning, a big ol'd truck rammed into a telephone pole, sending a gaggle of tourists into a photo-snapping frenzy.

Russian Hill Handyman founder Rick Haelig has the details:

At approximately 10:50, this moving truck - while parked on the Chestnut St. sidewalk at Leavenworth - lost its brakes and jumped its wheel chock, smashing into a rather stout telephone pole on the corner. No one was injured, but dozens of German tourists are snapping photos, completely forgetting about crooked Lombard Street for the moment.

No injuries were reported.
