Oh gee, this is rich. A "tense" four hour standoff in the city of Richmond last night led to the destruction of some dude's bong.
"A police bomb squad safely disposed of what they thought was a pipe bomb found in front of a 19th Street home," KGO reports. "The mysterious metal cylinder was capped at one end and had a pin attached to its side. Bomb experts from Walnut Creek evacuated everybody for 300 feet around and blew it up at about 10:30 pm."
Police suspect the marijuana smoking device was left behind "by some taggers who were seen vandalizing the house and a car" in the area earlier that evening.
