SCIENCE: For the first time, California Academy of Sciences is adding Game Night to its weekly 21+ NightLife event. Brain teasers, puzzles and trivia questions will abound. This is your chance to finally put that education to use! Also look for a scavenger hunt through the museum in addition to regular NightLife features such as a cash bar, planetarium show, and DJ. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own games.

6 - 10 p.m. // California Academy of Sciences (55 Music Concourse Dr., Golden Gate Park) // $12

FILM: If its sexless frustration you're looking for in a movie, skip the Twilight saga and watch its far gloomier predecessor, Wuthering Heights. What Emily Bronte's tale lacks in vampires it makes up for in pure crazy. In this1939 film version, Laurence Olivier stars as the mean, vulgar, yet somehow redeemable Heathcliff and Merle Oberon plays Catherine, the woman whose love screws up her family for generations. (Olivier and Eberon famously HATED each other during filming.) Wuthering Heights plays as a double feature with the 1947 The Bishop's Wife.

7 p.m. // Castro Theatre (Castro & Market) // $10

ART: Tonight is the opening reception for Rough Around the Edges, paintings by Garrett Robinson. Robinson. His work mainly uses a mix of prints, paints and other media to depict expressive, cartoon faces. The event will also have a wine tasting and astrology readings.
