Hanukkah starts this week. And tis the season, chosen ones, for Orrin Hatch (R-Orrin Hatch) has written you a song. It's called "Eight Days of Hanukkah," and it's being hailed as "a cheerful pop ballad celebrating the Festival of Lights. "

"Anything I can do for the Jewish people, I will do," Hatch told the New York Times. "Mormons believe the Jewish people are the chosen people, just like the Old Testament says."

Although Hatch's ouvre is mainly Christian and patriotic, "Eight Days of Hanukkah" Is Hatch's first ditty for Jewish audiences.
