Since we're always scoping out ways to make holiday shopping a little easier, we'd recommend checking out the Annual Holiday Art Sale at Creativity Explored (located on 16th street and Guerrero), running every weekend through December 23rd.

The Creativity Explored studio will have a whole range of art for sale, including prints, ceramics, original paintings, sculpture, pen and ink and textiles. And not only is the art advertised as very affordable, half of its proceeds will go directly to the artist. Now, if only the music industry worked that way....

For those of you who have never ventured over to Creativity Explored, the studio is a nonprofit visual arts center designed especially for artists with developmental disabilities. At Creativity Explored, artists have free reign to create, exhibit and sell their art. The holiday sale kicks off today with an opening reception from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
