Put on your Spidey-suit, it’s time to get nerdy! The Alternative Press Expo will be held this weekend the Concourse Exhibition Center in San Francisco.

For those of you looking for a repeat of the teenage vampire fest that was the 2009 San Diego Comic Con, you will be let down. But for those who yearn for the olden days of meeting fledgling writers and discovering under publicized gems, this APEs for you. Aside from the exhibitors on the main floor, there will also be moderated discussions with artists including Batton Lash, Phoebe Gloeckner and Lark Pien.

Panels will include topics such as Queer Cartoonists, Web Comics, and Pop Perversity. Admission is $10 for one day or $15 for Saturday and Sunday.
