ART: The LightHouse and the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery's Art at City Hall program present Insights 2009: 20 Years of Creative Vision, an exhibition of 118 works in a variety of media by 38 blind and visually impaired artists. A free audio tour with voiceovers provided by local celebrities accompanies the show, as well as Braille and large print versions of all Insights materials.

SALON: Creative Commons, KALW, and Chicago Public Radio’s Sound Opinions present a Creative Commons Salon, featuring Chicago Tribune music critic and author Greg Kot in conversation with music journalist David Downs. Downs and Kot will discuss Kot’s new book, Ripped: How the Wired Generation Revolutionized Music, as well as how digital sharing and participatory culture are shaping how music is created and consumed. Audience questions and discussion will follow the conversation. Light refreshments will be served. Greg Kot will also be doing a reading, talk, and book signing at Booksmith (1644 Haight St) tomorrow night.
