More than 100 pot plants were found yesterday afternoon, near St. Ignatius College Preparatory School. This is part of the city's "dismantling of a large-scale pot-growing operation in the city," according to reports.

Going down at a home in the 2200 block of 36th Avenue, four pounds of dry marijuana, $2,000 cash and growing equipment, in addition to the plants, were seized during the bust. "Police said at last week's news conference that sophisticated illegal marijuana grow operations had been uncovered at more than 30 homes in the past six months, most in the department's Taraval District, which includes parts of the Sunset, Taraval and Ingleside neighborhoods."
