Tonight marks the first episode of NBC's Trauma, filmed right here in San Francisco, an hour-long drama about paramedics and explosions. Oh, and Jennifer Siebel Newsom will, we think, be in this episode.

In lieu of judging the new series based on the first show -- which is next to impossible, because pilot episodes are painfully awkward upon later review: offspring mysteriously disappeared, siblings never spoken of again, sidekicks have undeveloped personalities, bizarre set designs -- we'll just live-blog the action. And, what with Trauma being up against the same time slot as the brilliant Rachel Zoe Project (Rachel might die tonight, by the way!), Gossip Girl, and Intervention, NBC's newest drama really needs to prove itself.
