Cow Hollow merchants are rejoicing after crushing Muni's new terminal bus idea. If you recall, Muni wanted to "establish a 291 feet long Bus Terminus at Union & Fillmore." But after merchants threw a temper-tantrum, culled in thousands of signatures, made lots of frowny faces, Muni Executive Director Nathaniel Ford relented. "[T]he two sides agreed to a compromise — the articulated buses would only run from 5 to 9 a.m. on Union Street and the terminal idea at Union and Fillmore streets would be temporarily abandoned," chirps The Examiner.
