Last night, SF Mayor Gavin Newsom "officially kicked off his campaign" for governor of California 2010. That is to say, you'll see even less of Newsom over the next year or so. If that's even possible. Which is fine with us. Because "Mayor Nathan Ballard" has a nice ring to it. Oh, come now. Ballard is a funny guy. Period. And a smartypants too. And that's good enough for us.

Anyway, Newsom is the only Democratic candidate to officially throw his hate into the ring. Other likely Democratic contenders are Attorney General Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown, 71, and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio "Telemundo!" Villaraigosa, 56. But since Newsom is being hailed as "catnip for young Democratic voters," or so says Bill Whalen, research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution, we want to know who you would pick out of the three.(We removed any possible GOP candidates because Republicans are, of course, PURE, UNADULTERATED EVIL WHO MAKE THE BABY JESUS WEEP.)

Oh, and feel free to voice your opinion with a pointless write-in candidate in the comments. (Oh, Frank Chu, you say? Wow. You're a scream.)

POLL CLOSED. Brown wins by a landslide.
