FILM: French film, Summer Hours, which was put out by IFC films, is appearing at the San Francisco International Film Festival this week. "The divergent paths of three forty-something siblings collide when their mother, heiress to her uncle's exceptional 19th century art collection, dies suddenly" and they are forced to "confront the end of childhood, their shared memories, background and unique vision of the future."

COMEDY: Kung Pao Kosher Comedy presents Comedy Returns to El Rio, which will take place every second Monday of the month. This month's line-up includes Yayne Abeba, Ross Turner, Nick Leonard, Candy Churilla, Deb Campo, and Lisa Geduldig. SF Weekly had great things to say about Ross Turner's "absurd and observational humor" and his ability to entertain everyone from QVC-watchers and Comcast conventioneers to Bay Area comedy buffs.
