Perhaps in an effort to veer public opinion away from his decision to legalize gay marriage, San Francisco Mayor and gubernatorial candidate Gavin Newsom defended homophobic Miss California winner and faux-Christian Carrie Prejean.

If you recall, during the Miss USA pageant, the painted whore responded to Perez Hilton's question about same-sex marriage like this: "In my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman." Which? Fine. But then, a few days later, Prejean said, I may not have been politically correct, but I was biblically correct." See, this here is what's vile. Because civil rights and basic human decency have nothing to do with 'political correctness.' And whenever a democrat sits in the Oval office, this kind of shit-stained mindset seems acceptable.

Anyway, while at a bio tech company in La Jolla yesterday, when asked about the hateful state beauty rep's comments, Newsom said "I want to challenge her on her point of view, but she spoke her conscience, I think she's being a little unfairly maligned." Unfairly maligned? Just because you might want to put your penis inside of her and you need SoCal votes, Gav, doesn't mean she's being unfairly picked on. A few closed-fist slaps to her lifeless face? Sure. But if you spew hate on a live televised meat market, you should expect some sort of repercussion. She has her right to have an opinion, of course; but us peons have the right to respond. Always.
