Now is not the time to move to Detroit, invest in a major bank, flip houses, or launch a magazine.

And opening a restaurant in one of the most expensive section of San Francisco should probably should make that list too.

So, it is with the utmost confidence that Midi a new addition to downtown’s flimsy restaurant scene, takes the space formerly occupied by Perry’s.

Fortunately, an after-work crowd hungry for new and exciting downtown dining options has proven to be enough of a buffer against the evil recession.
