Photographer Steve Rotman, with the help of designer and photographer Chris Brennan, have put together a whole book of these awesome public artworks, San Francisco Street Art, which was just released by Prestel Publishing.

Only a few months ago, the same team put out a book about the much-vilified street art form known as tagging, Bay Area Graffiti. Prior to that book release, Rotman explained his thoughts on the topic to the San Francisco Graffiti blog.

Of course, you can get a taste of Rotman's and Brennan's photography on Flickr. The official book-release happens 6:30-9 p.m. May 11 at Books Inc. on Van Ness, where several of the featured street artists will discuss their work.
