Three Men Arrested After Opening Fire on Western Addition Funeral

Three men were arrested after one or all of them "opened fire on mourners outside the funeral for a homicide victim" Thusday afternoon in the Western Addition. As friends and family of Lazarus "Buddy" Pickett, 18 -- who was murdered on 12/20 outside the Plaza East public housing development in the Western Addition -- were leaving his funeral, shot rang out. Fortunately, no one was hit. The fuzz, however, "seized a Tech 9 assault weapon and arrested two 21-year-old men and a third man, age 20" just after the shooting.
