Hey, you! Free at lunchtime? Yeah? Then head over to SPUR's (San Francisco's Plannihng-Urban Research Association) post-election analysis this afternoon. The noontime forum will be held at 312 Sutter St. (at Grant), on the second floor, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. today. (Free for members, $5 for the rest of you.) Here are the details:
A SPUR tradition -- Join us for the post election recap. We'll go over who voted, who won, and why. We'll also talk about how the outcomes (such as they are known by the next day) will affect San Francisco in the coming years. Join political analyst David Latterman from Fall Line Analytics and Alex Clemens from Barbary Coast Consulting as they give you the scoop on what happened in the election and what it means. As always, there will be plenty of time to share your own opinion. This event will run 90 minutes.
Basically, this is an upfront this-is-what-happened, here-are-the-numbers, we-show-the-data kind of discussion. Very neutral, we're told. Just the facts. So if you have the time this afternoon, head on over.
