In the thick of today's election brouhaha we completely forgot to mention that San Francisco played host to its 100th murder this week -- at least according to SF Crime, who keeps a running tally of SF killings. (SF Examiner, however, claims it's the city's 94th.) Anyway, it seems that one man was killed, and another injured, after a shooting on the unit block of Fair Avenue, 8:20 p.m., in Bernal Heights on Monday night. The city's 100th murder, according to police spokesperson Neville Gittens, wasn't gang related. No arrests have been made.
