After a gaggle of youths jumped the turnstiles at the Richmond, Fruitvale and Coliseum stations, BART decided to close down the three stations. Yikes. According to the Gate, around 60 people jumped the gates at the Richmond station and a 100 or so kids illegally evaded fare payment at the Frutivale station. The overly spirited youths, we're told, were en route to some sort of annual immigration rally to "denounce the atrocities committed against immigrant communities by Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE)" at Sansome at Market (happening at noon) in downtown San Francisco. (SFGate) Update: Stations opened a little after 10:30 a.m. People are "peacefully" protesting at the Ferry Plaza now.
