This morning's gasoline tanker explosion, which was carrying 8,600 gallons of gasoline and shot flames up to 50 feet in the air -- has closed down southbound Interstate 880 in Oakland through Thursday. "I would be very surprised if it wasn't up and running by the (Thursday) morning commute," says Mike Fahey, hazardous materials coordinator with the Oakland Fire Department.

Also, Westbound I-980 in Oakland is also closed down, or so says 511.org.
