Supervisor Michela Alioto-Pier is kicking it on the steps of City Hall right now (10 a.m.), introducing a measure that asks stores (Safeway, Whole Foods) to ban baby bottles containing Bisphenol A, which could kill your little blessings. Bisphenol A was formally declared a hazardous substance in Canada this month, as well as the FDA saying was "some concern" when it comes to babies Bisphenol A overlap. But according to "a spokesman for the tin can industry," lining cans without the Bisphenol A-based resins, E. coli and botulism poisoning would increase dramatically. Anyway, just give your baby a glass bottle instead. (SF CItizen)
