If you plan on falling off the wagon or going on a fatal bender, let tonight be that night. Why? Well, because some of the watering holes throughout SF plan on donating up to half of their profits to the Stop AIDS Project. Here are a few of the participating bars where you can altruistically get ripped to the tits tonight.

Harvey's (500 Castro Street): Local bloggers Beth Spotswood, Sweet Melissa's Melissa Griffin, and gay couple/veterans of many state and local campaigns Brian Devine and Brian Leubitz are hosting a party at the world's queer epicenter tonight. Mark Leno might make an appearance, or so we hear, same for goes for a couple of (former and current) SFist editors. But more importantly, 50% of your tab goes to fighting the AIDS. Read more about it here. (Oh, and spaz not, dear wonks. Obama's speech from the balcony of the Casa Rosada will be on the TV there, too.)

Other participating bars are Mix (4086 18th Street), 440 Castro (440 Castro Street), Sadlands (4121 18th Street), Chaps Bar (1225 Folsom Street), Eagle Tavern (398 12th Street), Gravity Room (3251 Scott Street), Hobson's Choice (1601 Haight Street), Jay N Bee Club (2736 20th Street), Jet (2348 Market Street), Lookout (3600 16th Street), Metro City Bar (2124 Market Street), Midnight Sun (4067 18th Street), Powerhouse (1347 Folsom Street), Stray Bar (369 Cortland Avenue), Tony Nik's Cafe (1534 Stockton Street), Truck (1900 Folsom Street), Twin Peaks (401 Castro Street), Underground SF (424 Haight Street), and Wild Side West (424 Cortland Avenue)

*Harvey's & Mix will donate 50%, the rest of 'em will fork over 25%.
