Power couple Chloé Harris and Frankie Frankeny and the San Francisco Leadership Council of GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) held a surprisingly smashing benefit at Orson in SoMa oin Sunday night. And the shit, as the kids used to say, was off of some sort of hook.

Food from Jardinière, Orson, Citizen Cake,s Jennifer Biesty & Zoi Antonitsas, Bay Café, Spruce, and more was crammed down the hungry mouths of gays and straights alike who plunked down $75 for the cause. Local notables Kellye Gray, Marcus Shelby, Stuart Gaffney & John Lewis (a real-life homosexual couple), JT Leroy Laura Albert, Newsom's pet gay whatshisname, Eater's Paolo Lucchesia, and the sublime Joy Venturini Bianchi (!!!) were all in attendance. (Even the evening's emcee, Donna Sachet, managed not to annoy us; in fact, she was downright kind of amusing.)

And the best part was that no one was visibly coked out of their minds. A success!
