MISSION, SATURDAY: Were you there? We were. Valencia Street barhoppers and Delfina snobs mistakenly assumed firecrackers ignited after at least five shots rang out at 18th and Guerrero streets a little after 10:30 p.m. One man was shot, but is expected to survive. According to one SFist tipster:

so, about the shooting at 18th and Guerrero, I happen to live right where they captured the guy and got quite an earful of information. He was known by the all the cops, and get this, he had a bullet proof vest on. None of the police were shocked by this. Scary thought that it is normal now to expect the thugs of the city to be wearing bullet proof vests.

But according to the Examiner, the police arrested no suspects. (He ran down 18th Street toward Mission! Like we slurredly told you guys!)

TENDERLOIN, SUNDAY: A man walked into the Fire Department at 934 Larkin St. around 10:30 p.m. to get help for stab wounds to his upper abdomen and left wrist. The suspect, it seems, knew the victim. No arrest have been made.
