Oh lordy. Look at this five-day forecast over at KGO, will ya? Gross. Five days of 100-plus heat will sear the Bay Area this week. Insofar as inland areas go, at least. But even coastal areas will feel abnormally high heat as well. You are all advised to drink plenty of water (which you should be doing regardless of the temperature) and stay indoors (well, if you're old or are a newborn) this week.

The hottest areas are expected to be the Tri Valley in the East Bay and Morgan Hill/Gilroy in the Santa Clara Valley. None of this, of course, bodes well for the fires raging in Big Sur and several hundred other areas throughout Nor Cal.
