Harvey Milk Mural at 575 Castro

Given's owner, Nick Romero, commissioned this mural for his store to memorialize the slain city supervisor. (Other than a sidewalk plaque in front of the store, that wasn't much to let customers or the curious know that this was the place where Milk lived and a earned the title Mayor of Castro Street.) Pretty nifty, eh? That will help sell some poo and pee dolls for sure.

But wait -- there's more! After the jump, see how the mural whimsically highlights Milk's violent death.
