It's the little things that get you through the day sometimes.

After about two years of subscribing to the daily menu email of the ever-more-pricey San Francisco Soup Company, we finally won ourselves a free cup of soup.

As subscribers to the daily email have a remote chance of winning, we signed up eagerly. However, two years of being told every day that "sorry, you are not a winner," gets really old.

We'll enjoy this moment, as well as a nice, cool gazpacho around noonish. Then we'll probably unsubscribe . . . "leave on a high note," right?
