Remember those days? My parents went to blah-blah-blah and all I got was this stupid...

Well, if you go to Oakland's Bulldog Coffee Shop today from 6-7:30pm, not only will you get to enjoy Cindee de la Vara's newly-installed paintings, but also you will get free snacks and wine (natch), musical accompaniment by singer/guitarist Mercedes Skye (we wouldn't have it any other way) and access to a pretty darned great selection of Bulldog logo and Oaksterdam t-shirts, hats, and flying disks.

Oak-ster-what? Bulldog used to be a medicinal cannabis distribution point. The name is an homage to a same-named café in Amsterdam. While you can no longer get your prescription filled here, you can get your munchies fixed with a loving-cup of sugar cereal, lubricate your cotton mouth with some organic tea, or wake yourself up with an espresso while sunning at a sidewalk table, and fanning yourself with a copy of the Oaksterdam News.

Or, stop by Bulldog on the third Saturday of each month for the Free Grow Class, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

And no matter when you drop in, you might want to mosey around the corner to the Oaksterdam GiftShop, for even more cool logo gear, and... a-hem, supplies.
